VRANEC ELIXIR 2012 | BRZANOV WINERY

The wine is characterized by a dark, almost opaque, ruby red color with purple shades. It has fragnant aromas of overripe cherries, black plum jam and ripe berries. It is recommended to be consumed with rich meat dishes. An excellent combination are the traditional Macedonian dishes, such as turlitava, jania, sarma. Serve at a temperature of 18 to 20 °C.

Dry red wine produced by classic fermentation, aged for 3 years of which 16 months in new barriques. The grape is cultivated on 550 m a.s.l. It contains 15.3% alcohol, no residual sugar and no additives. In the process of fermentation we use only selected yeast and minimal quantity of potassium metabisulfite. The wine is not filtered.

Dry red wine produced from Vranec^[1] variety. It is defined by a deep ruby red in colour with purple reflections. Attractive and complex nose revealing copious amounts of red and blackberry fruits- red cherries, blueberries and blue plums complimented by dried tobacco leaves and cedar aromas. Elegant and full bodied wine with intense flavours of red cherries on the palate and spicy dark pepper and moccha aftertaste. Well-structured wine with velvety tannins and vibrant harmonic acidity giving it a long aging potential.
