VRANEC ELIXIR 2012 | BRZANOV WINERY

Cuvèe from Vranec^[1], Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with intense dark ruby color. The strong rustic Vranec^[1] is elegantly tamed with the soft Merlot, complemented by the delicate Cabernet Sauvignon. Soft and concentrated, reinforced with herbal notes.

Dry red wine made from the varieties Vranec^[1] 91%, Pinot  Noir 3%, Syrah 3% and Merlot 3% by classic fermentation. It is aged for 8 years of which 40 months in new barriques and one year in a bottle. The grape is cultivated on 550 m a.s.l.. It contains 16% of alcohol, no residual sugar and no additives were used. In the production process we only use selected yeast and minimal quantity of potassium metabisulfite. The wine is not filtered.

Dry red wine produced from Merlot variety. It is defined by an intense ruby red colour. Explosion of red fruits on the nose- aromas of young red cherries and red plums accompanied by accentuated minty and discreet nutty and vanilla notes giving it additional complexity. The palate opens with luscious red fruit, cornel cherries complimented by leafy notes and dark chocolate and light roasted coffee beans aftertaste. Full bodied wine with soft, velvety and well integrated tannins and a harmonious acidity. To be paired with red meat specialties, pasta with red-like sauces and selection of full fat cheeses. Recommended serving temperature: 16-18 °С.

Veritas is premium wine obtained from the local cultivar Vranec^[1]. It is produced with reduced yield of the vines. The removal of entire clusters leads to a significant concentration of the taste of the grapes which remains for harvest. It is rich with polyphenols (antioxidants), colored substances and specific aromatic compounds. Dark-ruby, strong color, corpulent, full bodied wine rich in extract. Wine with great potential for aging. Natural cure for cardiovascular diseases.
